Fall Ball is coming Aug 25th

We hope you enjoyed your summer!

For those who were unaware SLVGS has a tournament ball program called Mountain Dream.

SLVGS provides this fall season to give girls an opportunity to challenge themselves, build skills and have fun.

SLVGS is dedicated to giving year round play opportunities to our community.

We have just finished the Summer season and are now looking to form the Fall Ball teams.

This year we plan on having divisions for our 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U ages.

We are holding tryouts Saturday Aug 25th:
ALL TRYOUTS will be at SLVMS

14U – 9 am

12U – 10:30 am

10U – 12:00 pm

8U – 1:30 PM

If your daughter would like to play but cannot make tryouts, if you are not sure if it is a good fit, or want more information please email  dream@slvgs.org and we can answer any questions you might have.

The goal of SLVGS Mountain Dream is to improve the quality of play for all the girls in our area.  The majority of girls that play on the SLV Middle School and High School teams have been in the Mountain Dream program at some point in their youth softball career.

It’s amazing to see the improvement in the skill level for the players after they’ve been through a season.

After fall ball, we encourage the girls to bring their experiences back to the rec program and thus completing the cycle of improving the quality of play for all the girls.

Thank you and hope to see you on the fields Aug 25th.

SLVGS will be marching in this year’s 4th of July parade in Boulder Creek. Please come out and join us!

Softball players should come wearing their 2018 SLVGS jersey and visor if they still have it. Full uniform is not necessary, shorts are OK. Coaches, parents and siblings are welcome, and can wear their favorite red, white, and blue 4th of July attire! We will have promotional goodies for the girls to pass out to the crowd.

We will meet at the corner of Mountain St. and HWY 9 (Fosters Freeze) at 9:30am on July 4th. Once most have assembled we’ll move into our numbered place in line to begin our march. Don’t forget sunscreen and a water bottle! The parade finishes at the Boulder Creek post office. Any adults who did not march along can meet us there to pick up their child.

Jessica Nattkemper will be coordinating the march; you can reach her at jessicanattkemper@hotmail.com or (831) 818-0221. Share and show your attendance with our Facebook meeting here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2081391775520102/?ti=icl

8U at Manzanita Mayhem

Last weekend our 8U Mountain Dream Team played at The Manzanita Mayhem Tournament.

The girls battled hard and are starting to find themselves as players. They won the first game of elimination but lost in the semi finals. As a team they are bonding and having fun.

We can’t wait to see where this next generation of Dreamers will go.

Alvin Scarborough Classic Tournament

This weekend was the Alvin Scarborough Classic tournament and wow was it hot!

Our 8U team played great, they played hard and were excited to get their first tournament in the books.

12U and 10U hanging out

It was a very different story for our 14U players. This is the first time in the seven year history of The Alvin Scarborough Classic that a Mt Dream team won first place!! Congratulations to the 14U team. You did such a great job playing some very hard teams.
