Alan is awesome! He has really knocked it out of the park with the new website and interesting added content such as drone footage and now this recognition page. He worked regularly to update the site and keep information at everyone’s fingertips. As well, he always jumps in to help on the field and is a dedicated nappy changer. And he does it with a smile on his face always!!! Huge THANK YOU to Alan for being a wonderful parent donating a lot of time to our league!! We will miss you, thank you for all you have done.
Thanks for the great summer, our coaches wanted to share a few final words before wrapping up and heading towards fall ball, thanks again to everyone who played, coached and supported our Mountain Dream teams.

Learn to play softball and have fun in a team environment. Players are encouraged to attend development clinics before and during the season. Softball is FUN!, participation in sports teaches these future women important lessons that benefit them over their lifetime.
80% of women leaders in Fortune 500 companies participated in sports while growing up, and the majority of them cited lessons learned on the playing field as contributing to their success.
Teams are assigned and begin practices in February. Games run from early March through mid to late May.
Practices and games are usually held on local fields including BCE, Quail Hollow and SLVMS.
Please do sign up or log in to Blue Sombrero to register.
Please note, your Blue Sombrero login for softball is not the same as for basketball or any other sport. If you have forgotten your login user name please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your daughters name and we can send you your user name.
For those who were unaware SLVGS has a tournament ball program called Mountain Dream.
SLVGS provides this fall season to give girls an opportunity to challenge themselves, build skills and have fun.
SLVGS is dedicated to giving year round play opportunities to our community.
We have just finished the Summer season and are now looking to form the Fall Ball teams.
This year we plan on having divisions for our 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U ages.
We are holding tryouts Saturday Aug 25th:
ALL TRYOUTS will be at SLVMS
14U – 9 am
12U – 10:30 am
10U – 12:00 pm
8U – 1:30 PM
If your daughter would like to play but cannot make tryouts, if you are not sure if it is a good fit, or want more information please email email@example.com and we can answer any questions you might have.
The goal of SLVGS Mountain Dream is to improve the quality of play for all the girls in our area. The majority of girls that play on the SLV Middle School and High School teams have been in the Mountain Dream program at some point in their youth softball career.
It’s amazing to see the improvement in the skill level for the players after they’ve been through a season.
After fall ball, we encourage the girls to bring their experiences back to the rec program and thus completing the cycle of improving the quality of play for all the girls.
Thank you and hope to see you on the fields Aug 25th.
Thanks to all members of SLVGS and everyone who joined and watched the 4th of July Parade.
We were excited to share our enthusiasm for softball and team spirit and look forward to more members joining, both experienced players and young ladies who have never played before are welcome. Come join the fun!
SLVGS will be marching in this year’s 4th of July parade in Boulder Creek. Please come out and join us!
Softball players should come wearing their 2018 SLVGS jersey and visor if they still have it. Full uniform is not necessary, shorts are OK. Coaches, parents and siblings are welcome, and can wear their favorite red, white, and blue 4th of July attire! We will have promotional goodies for the girls to pass out to the crowd.
We will meet at the corner of Mountain St. and HWY 9 (Fosters Freeze) at 9:30am on July 4th. Once most have assembled we’ll move into our numbered place in line to begin our march. Don’t forget sunscreen and a water bottle! The parade finishes at the Boulder Creek post office. Any adults who did not march along can meet us there to pick up their child.
