Field Status Update

If rain affects field conditions, updates will be posted by 8:00 PM on Fridays and by 2:00 PM on other days.

Field Closure Notification Schedule

  • Weekday Games: By 2:00 PM
  • Saturday Games: By 8:00 PM on Fridays
  • In some cases, the decision may be made at game time.

Important Notes:

  • Assume all games are on unless your coach tells you otherwise.
  • If the field is closed, teams can still use surrounding areas like the blacktop. Just ensure players have proper footwear.
  • In case of a rainout, your coach may reschedule the game. Due to limited field availability and umpires, make-up games are typically held during one of the affected teams' practice slots, with a parent umpire officiating from behind the pitcher.

Game-Time Decisions What is a game-time decision? If the rain has stopped, or rain is expected later, teams may attempt to prep the field for play. This could involve using infield sponges to soak up puddles or sweeping away water. However, the final call is up to the umpire, who will make a "game-time decision" based on player safety. Safety is always our priority, so when in doubt, please err on the side of caution. For specific updates, contact your coach.

Field Specifics Please note that Little League games are not played on our fields. Little League fields are controlled by the county and high school, so they may be closed while ours remain open. Additionally, each of our fields responds to water differently—BCE might be closed while Quail Hollow remains open, for example.

Remember, the grass can be easily damaged when played on while soggy. Wet infields and bases also pose safety risks, so always prioritize caution. If you're planning drills on a hard surface, make sure your players wear appropriate shoes.

Coordinating Games and Practices Games require coordination between two teams and umpires, while practices involve just your team. Feel free to get creative with practice locations—drills on blacktop surfaces, for example, can be a great alternative!
